For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord.
They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

My name is Marsha, and I met Casey face to face, literally, for the first time on November 24, 2018. Before meeting Casey, I had not been around many horses. My neighbor owned a horse that I was occasionally allowed to ride while being lead around on as a child. The field behind my house growing up had 3-4 horses that I fed apples from our apple trees, and I have been on guided horse trail rides, but that is about the extent of my exposure to horses. I was on the phone with NC many late nights for hours while he was tending to Casey’s wants and needs, listening to stories about Casey. I had received many pictures of Casey before actually meeting him. On our first encounter, he startled me. After entering Casey’s house. I was looking around and viewing NC's video monitors placed on the steps of Casey’s house. When I turned around, Casey’s head was right at my eye level. (So, this is what I meant when I stated that I literally met him face to face.) I jumped back and laughed. I think he found my reaction to him funny. After that, I felt we were on our way to a wonderful friendship. One fond memory of my time with Casey was when NC was teaching me how to brush Casey. It was relaxing for me and Casey seemed to enjoy it too. I learned a lot about horses from Casey and NC during our short but meaningful time together. I learned about what it takes to care for a horse. I found that relationships come in many forms, and I learned that any meaningful relationship takes a lot of work. I experienced a strong bond that could not be broken between a man and his horse. Love is unconditional no matter what form it comes in and Casey and NC had that unconditional love. I would have loved spending more time with Casey and getting to know him better. Thank you for the memories.
Zephaniah 3:17
The LORD, your God, is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you by his love.
1 Corinthians 13:7
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
