The kentucky mountain horse - breeze

Breeze's life began in Louisiana at a nurse mare foal farm. At just four months old, he was shipped to Kentucky, and by six months, sold to a rescue in Ohio. Though considered a "disposable" baby horse, he found his true purpose when he came to live on NC Matheny's farm in southeast Ohio.

Matheny, who had lost his beloved heart horse Casey just four years earlier, hoped that Breeze would become his second heart horse. The bond they formed is a testament to the healing and transformative power of love and care.
