After playtime in the August sun, Casey was ready for a much-needed nap. Casey was orphaned at birth, so he depended totally on his human for safety.
Casey was an orphan at birth, and humans were who he identified with the most. He is searching for the one person that made his world complete.
Because Casey was an orphan, I raised him on mares milk replacement. Casey always looked forward to seeing his red milk bucket coming his way.
All moms know it is very hard to get their kiddo up from a nap. Baby sleepy horses are no different, especially on a warm sunny afternoon.
Casey loved to make toys out of everything he could get in his mouth from the very beginning.
I often put Casey out in his field to play while I was mowing outside the fence of his pasture. This day my aunt was there and captured baby Casey running and playing alongside the mower.
Casey was just a wee one in 1999. For some reason, I don't know now why. But I had left him outside for the night well the next morning I could not find him I went into panic mode. Searching high and low, and that was before cameras, so I couldn't tell which way you went.
