My name is Chloe. I was six years old when I met Casey. I am nine years old now. My best memory of Casey was when my grandpa took me to his friend’s farm. NC has miniature horses named Risky and Scarlet. I like them. They are my size - small just like me. I love animals - all animals. I got to meet Robin and Mystere, the two big mares. NC and Grandpa let me sit on Robin while NC was holding her. I also got to play with Amos, the Blue Heeler cattle dog. He has lots of energy - just like me. But I think my most favorite was Casey, the horse that lived in his own house with air conditioning and drank out of a utility sink. Well, he played in the sink more than drank out of the sink. And he wore blankets to keep the bugs off because he had allergies. He was big, very gentle, and kind, even when NC let me give him peppermint treats. NC told me to hold a treat like I was eating a cookie. Casey took it out of my small fingers and didn’t even touch my hand with his teeth. Then Casey licked my hand and made sure he had gotten all of the peppermint. Casey was amazing. Thank you, NC, for letting me and grandpa enjoy your best friend Casey.
